Baby sleep, without the stopwatch

Baby nap transitions show up as a changing day

Reviewed

A nap transition is better understood as a repeated change across days: one sleep becomes difficult, later sleep drifts, or night timing changes. Follow the pattern over time rather than dropping a nap because one chart says the baby reached a particular age.

What to look for

Compare several days for a nap that repeatedly moves, shortens or disappears. Also look at total sleep and the final wake period. One disrupted day after travel, illness or a long nap does not establish a new rhythm.

Let the outlook recalculate

Gaia’s rest-of-day outlook is a sketch from recent observations. When a nap does not happen, later bands are not treated as promises; the view updates from the next sleep actually logged.

Keep the decision human

The chart can surface a pattern. Caregivers still decide what fits the baby and family, and a pediatric professional is the right source when sleep or development raises concern.

This guide is general information, not medical advice. Always use current safe-sleep guidance and contact a qualified clinician when you are worried about your baby.

$GAIA — the ticker

The free tracker is
paid for by the token.

Gaia stays free: every tracker, every chart, every caregiver, on every device, with no subscription and no paid tier. $GAIA is how the rest of it gets paid for. It launches on Solana — coming soon.

It keeps the free tier free

Nap predictions, the importer and the sync that holds one family log together all run on servers we pay for every month. The token treasury covers that bill, so what you use today never turns into a subscription.

You buy the extras with it

When Gaia sells something on top — a longer history, more caregiver seats, the Android build — it is a one-off purchase paid in $GAIA. Buy with our token: no card on file, nothing recurring, and never a fee for what you already have.

Holders decide what ships next

Holder wallets get the Android and MCP builds first, and vote on what the next release adds. The exact holder mechanics are provisional until launch day.
