How to move your log from Nara Baby to Gaia

Last updated

You can move an existing Nara Baby log into Gaia in about five minutes, free, without retyping anything. Nara exports a CSV; Gaia reads it on your phone and adds every entry with its original date, time and units. Feeds, diapers, sleep, pumping sessions, growth measurements and milestones all come over.

The steps

  1. Export the CSV from Nara. Open Nara and go to the Activity screen. Tap the avatar icon next to your baby’s name, then tap Export Data. Nara saves a CSV file. This works whether or not you still have an active Nara subscription.
  2. Repeat for each child. Nara exports one child per file. If you have two children, do it twice — you will import them separately.
  3. Install Gaia and create your family. Download Gaia from the App Store and sign up. During onboarding it asks whether you are coming from Nara; say yes and it takes you straight to the importer.
  4. Pick the file. In Gaia, open Account, tap Import from Nara, and choose the CSV. Gaia reads it on your phone and shows you what it found — how many entries, of which kinds, and the date range — before anything is added. The file is never uploaded anywhere to be converted.
  5. Check the name, then import. Gaia names the child the entries will be added to. If it is the wrong one, go back, tap the name at the top of the Today screen to switch children, and import again. Then press Import. A year of entries takes about a minute.

What comes over

What to know before you start

Do I need a Nara subscription to export?

No. Nara’s own documentation says the export works whether or not your subscription is active, so a lapsed trial does not trap your data.

Is Gaia free?

Yes. Gaia is free and there is no subscription — the import included, and what you are using today stays free. More about Gaia, or download it from the App Store.

$GAIA — the ticker

The free tracker is
paid for by the token.

Gaia stays free: every tracker, every chart, every caregiver, on every device, with no subscription and no paid tier. $GAIA is how the rest of it gets paid for. It launches on Solana — coming soon.

It keeps the free tier free

Nap predictions, the importer and the sync that holds one family log together all run on servers we pay for every month. The token treasury covers that bill, so what you use today never turns into a subscription.

You buy the extras with it

When Gaia sells something on top — a longer history, more caregiver seats, the Android build — it is a one-off purchase paid in $GAIA. Buy with our token: no card on file, nothing recurring, and never a fee for what you already have.

Holders decide what ships next

Holder wallets get the Android and MCP builds first, and vote on what the next release adds. The exact holder mechanics are provisional until launch day.

Nothing here is an offer to sell, and there is nothing to send: no claim form, no presale, no wallet to connect. Nobody from Gaia messages first, and no one from the team will ever ask you to send funds to buy.
